6D Helmets

Εικόνα
6D Helmets All motorcycle helmets are built using the same general architecture: a hard outer shell, an internal EPS liner and a comfort lining. 6D’s fully-active ODS dual-liner suspension system adds to that equation by infusing 27 elastomeric dampers between two EPS liners, with the intention of reducing minor concussions from low-velocity impacts.  The elastomeric dampers feature an escalating spring rate that allows the split liner system to shear omni-directionally to provide improved performance against oblique impacts and angular acceleration demands. Is this a game changer in motorcycle helmet safety technology? Could be, but for now it’s limited to only MX helmets.  And while its $750 price tag is within the range of high-end streetbike helmets, it’s certainly more expensive than even the loftiest-priced MX lid. 2013 Ducati Hypermotard 821 Review

2013 Ducati Hypermotard 821 Review There’s a reason why I avoid riding the Ducati  Hypermotard. Whether it’s the 796 or 1100 versions, I inevitably do something stupid and put my license at risk. From lofting wheelies, sliding the back tire, or hopping on sidewalks, the Hyper is a capable and tempting machine to perform all kinds of tomfoolery. Of course, its real purpose is to slice through the tightest asphalt ribbons one can find, and at this task we’ve proven it performs quite well. But 2013 sees the introduction of a new Hypermotard; one that ditches the air-cooled engines for a liquid-cooled, 821cc four-valver dubbed Testastretta II. If the 2013 Ducati Hypermotard looks similar to its predecessors, it’s supposed to. The most obvious visual change, if looking at a glance, is the side-exit exhaust for the new liquid-cooled engine. Also, turn indicators are now integrated into the hand guards, and mirrors are perched in a more traditional location.
